SALARY RANGE: Minimum Salary 86,815.00 Midpoint Salary 99,838.00 Maximum Salary 112,860.00
NOTE: This role is also eligible for variable annual bonus AND both 401K and pension.

SB Digital Channel Business Development Specialist Job Summary

The SB Digital Channel Business Development Specialist is responsible for developing business through the digital enabler platform(s) channel. The Specialist will be responsible for creating, supporting, and meeting premium flow and growth goals through the channel. The Specialist will be agent facing for the selection and processing of agencies; platform facing for gaining insights and reviewing opportunities; and internally facing partnering closely with business partners (national partners, marketing communications, underwriting, and field/territory managers). The Specialist will focus on driving continuous improvement through insights and learning gained from ROI analyses & key performance indicators (KPIs).

Desired Qualifications/Experience/Certification/Education (in order of importance)

  • 5+ years of experience in business development through one or more distribution channels including the following:

    • Proven track record of driving revenue

    • Deep understanding of go-to-market strategies and opportunities

    • Executing strategic projects to enable growth

    • Knowledge of and experience with digital channels

  • 5+ years of experience building trusted relationships (internal and external) including skillset that is organizationally observant; cognizant of and oriented to perform in alignment to strategy and planning.

  • 5+ years of proven experience developing, managing and iterating on processes related to research, business analysis, project management, and/or experimentation.

  • Experience presenting, communicating and influencing at all levels of an organization.

  • Experience sustaining interest and effort toward long term goals.

  • Rapid learner and go-getter who thrives in an ambiguous environment.

  • Experience embracing failure as a learning opportunity while continually striving to succeed.

  • Experience building and leveraging a network of people and professionals not only for personal benefit, but also for the mutual benefit of others.

  • Experience analyzing problems and developing strategies for resolution.

  • Experience collecting, analyzing, and interpreting key information to make and execute critical/timely decisions throughout project timeline, including during times of resistance.

  • Experience utilizing an effective consultative and influencing approach.

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the proven ability to work effectively with all organizational levels.

  • Bachelor’s degree OR commensurate experience.

  • Valid driver’s license and a driving record that conforms to company standards.

Physical Requirements (specific to the role)

  • Ability to work effectively in an office environment for 40+ hours per week (including sitting, standing, and working on a computer for extended periods of time).

  • Ability to communicate effectively in a collaborative work environment utilizing various technologies such as: telephone, computer, web, voice, teleconferencing, e-mail, etc.

  • Ability to travel as required.

  • Ability to operate an automobile within the parameters of the driving policy.
