Digital Product Manager Lead – Customer Job Summary

The customer is at the center of our new Small Business Platform (SBX). The Digital Product Management Lead – Customer (DPML) will be a critical leader in managing the digital experience and capabilities for customers and be accountable for delivering an exceptional digital experience to drive strong growth. This role will be accountable to execute the customer facing capabilities in our unified portal, including leading agile delivery processes for delivery, and overseeing operational excellence for the customer digital experience. This position ensures that digital functionality and user experiences are meeting the needs of customers and meeting or exceeding digital KPIs for usage and customer experience measurements.  Working with distribution partners and other key stakeholders across Westfield, the DPML will ensure alignment with business and technology strategies and develop a roadmap to support future investments in Westfield’s customer portal.

 

Essential Functions (primary functions and/or reasons the job exists in order of importance)

1.    Manages the customer experience for Westfield’s unified digital portal and is accountable for delivering an exceptional digital experience for customers.

2.    Leads agile software delivery processes to build and enhance digital capabilities in support of our multi-year SBX platform roadmap.  This includes defining a product scope and vision for each new digital product, overseeing story card creation and refinement, gaining stakeholder buy-in, and continuous refinement of the digital backlog for customer facing capabilities.

3.    Works closely with partners in business architecture to align digital customer initiatives to the overall targeted set of business capabilities on our multi-year roadmap.

4.    In consultation with Chief Digital Officer and other key stakeholders, oversees prioritization of customer facing capabilities in our digital backlog.

5.    Leverages/partners with the SBX Team to ensure tight alignment and integration with the new small business underwriting platform.

6.    Ensures that digital functionality and user experiences are meeting the needs of customers across our business segments through direct user experience research, tight collaboration with customer service teams, and analysis of user data. Utilizes internal and external user experience and design resources to continually improve the digital user experience for the customer portal. Establishes baseline customer experience metrics and continually drives for improvements over time.

 

Desired Qualifications/Experience/Certification/Education (in order of importance)

1.    5+ years of digital product management experience.

2.    Exceptional communication skills with the ability to tell the digital story and gain stakeholder alignment.

3.    2+ years of experience working in agile projects, including the ability to write/edit user stories and work with UX teams on user interface design.

4.    Strong digital and technology acumen with ability to translate business goals into technological developments. Awareness of key technology vendors in the digital space.

5.    Experience utilizing data and scorecards to measure progress against KPIs.

6.    Experience in a financial services or regulated industry environment.

7.    Exceptional project management skills, including experience successfuly delivering on objectives.

8.    Experience managing high workloads, complexity, and challenging deadlines.  

9.    Vendor management experience.

10.  Ability to work calmly under pressure.

11.  Experience introducing idea(s) and influencing action(s) with key stakeholders.

12.  Bachelor’s degree or commensurate work experience.

13.  Valid driver’s license and a driving record that conforms to company standards.


Physical Requirements (specific to the role)                                            

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. 

·         Ability to work effectively in an office environment for 40+ hours per week (including sitting, standing and working on a computer for extended periods of time).

·         Ability to communicate effectively in a collaborative work environment utilizing various technologies such as:  telephone, computer, web, voice, teleconferencing, e-mail etc.

·         Ability to travel as required.

·         Ability to operate an automobile within the parameters of the driving policy.
