Salary Range: Minimum: $55,970.00 – Midpoint: $64,365.00 - Maximum: $72,761.00

 

Graphic Design & Media Specialist Job Summary

 

The Graphic Design and Media Specialist is responsible for supporting high-impact creative solutions as outlined in creative briefs. This position is responsible for the development of highly visual campaigns, including motion graphics, digital, video, print production,  merchandise and other media. The Graphic Design and Media Specialist is also responsible for digital design, motion graphics, event staging, photography, videography, and multi-media for sales and print production of marketing campaigns, social media, corporate communications, employee and agent events, executive and corporate presentations, long- and short-form video editing.

 

Essential Functions (primary functions and/or reasons the job exists in order of importance)

 

  1. Responsible for creating high-impact creative solutions as outlined in creative briefs.
  2. Interprets client requests as outlined in creative briefs and translates them into compelling visual designs, working to ensure all campaign elements are aligned and integrated.
  3. Collaborates with cross-functional team members and business partners to ensure seamless creation, production and implementation of campaign materials.
  4. Responsible for both technical and editorial production assets of creative projects.
  5. Conceptualizes, produces and executes long- and short-form video and multi-media projects.
  6. Supports and accurately translates Westfield brand in all creative, sales and marketing materials and projects.
  7. Works with traffic and production manager to prioritize assignments and meet project deadlines by proactively anticipating obstacles and providing solutions. Investigates and recommends new digital and design platforms, software and vendors based on business partner feedback, team needs and corporate opportunities.
  8. Manages, organizes and ensures that all Westfield digital assets, photography, video assets and design/production files are safely stored, secured and easily retrieved.
  9. Maintains and enhances technical knowledge by attending training courses, design workshops and creative conferences and participating in professional groups and associations.
  10. Manages special projects as requested by department leads.
  11. Travels occasionally in order to participate in special assignments, training, and/or travel between office locations.

 

 

Desired Qualifications/Experience/Certification/Education (in order of importance)

 

  1. 3+ years of experience in design, videography, multi-media and photography.
  2. 3+ years of experience with the following:
    1. Adobe Suite (e.g. Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign After Effects, Premier Pro), as well as new software launches
    2. Presentation software (e.g. PowerPoint)
    3. Video recording/editing – Basic setup and camera control; Basic knowledge of lighting for photo and video including lighting and editing for chroma key/green screen (e.g. Adobe Premiere Pro)
    4. Audio recording/editing – Field recording for video (e.g. Adobe Audition)
    5. Basic knowledge of graphic design principles and print production
  3. Experience with and knowledge of brand management, specifically in its delivery through multiple customer channels.
  4. Effective listening skills to understand and revise concepts based on feedback from customers, agents, and business partners.
  5. Experience building internal and external relationships through partnership and collaboration.
  6. Strong interpersonal and communication skills, in order effectively collaborate with both internal and external clients.
  7. Business-to-business vs. business-to-consumer understanding.
  8. Accuracy and attention to detail in work product.
  9. Bachelor Degree in Fine Arts or similar field of study or commensurate experience.
  10. Valid driver’s license and driving record that conforms to company standards.

  • Ability to work effectively in an office environment for 40+ hours per week---including sitting, standing and working on a computer for extended periods of time.
  • Ability to communicate effectively in a collaborative work environment utilizing various technologies such as: telephone, computer, web, voice, teleconferencing, email, etc. 
  • Ability to travel, as required.
  • Ability to operate an automobile within the parameters of the driving policy.
  • Ability to operate and transport video equipment, cameras, etc.
