Marketing Program Manager 2 Job Summary

The Marketing Program Manager 2 is responsible for the orchestration, planning, and execution of enterprise-wide projects, campaigns, and marketing efforts within teams and across the company. The role serves as the primary liaison to key stakeholders across the enterprise. This Manager will leverage a marketing mindset, strong influencing, relationship management and negotiation skills to partner with the leaders inside and outside the Marketing department to create effective project plans, timelines, models, and overall documentation. This role is responsible for working within a matrixed team environment to lead, influence, and execute key programs including, but not limited to, process models, organization operational models, special projects, standards, and guidelines within Marketing and Corporate Communications teams. This role provides marketing methodologies and project management rigor to all activities and leverages industry standards.

 

Essential Functions (primary functions and/or reasons the job exists in order of importance)

1. Responsible for the orchestration, planning, and execution of enterprise-wide projects, campaigns, and marketing efforts within teams and across the company.

2. Responsible and accountable for developing, documenting, assessing, and refining all critical work components, assigned projects, and campaigns.

3. Applies marketing methodologies and a project management rigor (PMBOK, PMM, other process/format) to all efforts and activities, including the phases of initiation, planning, design, implementation, and closure. Understands core project methodologies and project constraints.

4. Gathers data from all areas of the Marketing department to properly represent and align all core operational processes and models.

5. Accountable for identifying and directing owners for projects and initiatives based on the RASCI model.

6. Creates a prioritization process for the Marketing leadership team to leverage for work management and resource allocation.

7. Collaborates across the Marketing & Corporate Communications teams to ensure proper alignment, prioritization, and resource allocations to deliver projects and/or campaigns.

8. Participates as an active member of the teams to drive process rigor, compliance, and a best practices culture for the department.

9. Responsible for the management of scope, budget, and resources for projects across teams. Guides and coaches others in project management methodologies as needed.

10. Builds trust and confidence with the business units and leadership teams to position Marketing as a trusted business partner.

11. Partners with all leaders and team members to ensure proper process management is aligned to report on key marketing and process analytics and metrics for the department.

12. Manages the periodic review of project and campaign status and results to ensure guidance and feedback is shared with others.

13. Responsible for day-to-day management, on-time delivery, and quality of team deliverables aligned with programs and campaigns.

14. Documents and reports on program and campaign key milestones. Develops executive summaries of project status for enterprise leaders including crafting marketing briefs.

15. Manages client expectations, including timelines, project outputs, and overall deliverable expectations.

16. Works to remove barriers, and helps to facilitate the change process associated with project or campaign. Negotiates and resolves conflicts as needed to agreeable conclusion.

17. Supports the collection of lessons learned and knowledge management and transfers across the organization.

18. Manages special projects as requested for the department.

19. Travels as needed to perform other essential functions.

 

Desired Qualifications/Experience/Certification/Education (in order of importance)

1. 7+ years of progressive business experience and understanding of key business drivers.

2. Experience in marketing.

3. Project, program, or business analysis experience and/or certification, including experience executing across all levels of the organization.

4. Experience managing projects of various size, scope, and budget.

5. Ability to build effective business partnerships through strong collaboration, influence, creative problem solving, and negotiation skills.

6. Consultative ability, solution-orientation, and ability to effectively collaborate with others to achieve results despite barriers.

7. Exceptional organizational and communication skills, including written, verbal, and interpersonal skills.

8. Change agent with energy, passion, and drive to plan, mobilize, and execute within a well-established organization and culture.

9. Ability to influence at all levels within the organization.

10. Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communication, Business, or related field or commensurate experience.

11. Valid driver’s license and a driving record that conforms to company standards.

* Ability to work effectively in an office environment for 40+ hours per week (including sitting, standing, and working on a computer for extended periods of time).

* Ability to communicate effectively in a collaborative work environment utilizing various technologies such as: telephone, computer, web, voice, teleconferencing, e-mail, etc.

* Ability to travel as required.

* Ability to operate an automobile within the parameters of the driving policy.
