The Opportunity 

We’re looking for a Talent Coordinator to provide support in how 1848 Ventures attracts and selects new hires. This role contributes by working alongside the recruiting team in helping to maximize the candidate experience and facilitate the interviewing process. 

 

The Talent Coordinator is focused on the “how” and “who” of our work by supporting our talent strategy capability within the innovation engine team. The role helps the engine run by taking an enterprise lens to the demands placed on the team and coordinating to ensure highest priorities receive the team's attention and focus when needed.

In this role, you'll get to:  

  • Update job descriptions across the innovation engine and all ventures as needed. 
  • Help manage the recruitment pipeline and assist in sourcing efforts. 
  • Research posting sites to increase awareness of opportunities across broad candidate audiences. 
  • Organize candidates’ data in Greenhouse applicant tracking system. 
  • Partner with internal recruiters to coordinate and schedule interviews with candidates.  
  • Aide in managing arrangements and logistics for on-site candidate interviews. 
  • Assist the team by performing initial phone screens of candidates to ensure they meet the minimum requirements of the position.  
  • Collect feedback from colleagues and candidates throughout the selection process to gain insight into the candidate experience and areas for improvement. 
  • Prepare job offer letters and assist with new hire onboarding alongside our Integration Team.  
  • Pull and share reports on new hire metrics (i.e., time-to-fill, time-to-hire, and source).  
  • General back end hiring support: provide administrative support for meetings including scheduling assistance, tracking attendance, and taking notes. 
  • Create and own employee referral process.  
  • Support team event coordination including scheduling, communication, travel, etc.  
  • Other duties as required. 

 

What you need for this role: 

  • 1-3 years of experience in an operations support role in Talent Acquisition. 
  • Strong organizational skills with a focus on details and accuracy.  
  • Proven experience as a high performer, while executing effectively and efficiently and applying creativity to the work in a virtual setting. 
  • In depth experience with Microsoft Office suite of products. 
  • Experience using professional social networks ex. LinkedIn. 
  • Ability to complete a high volume of work with accuracy by prioritizing assigned tasks and deadlines.  
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and demonstrated ability working with all levels within the organization. 
  • Effective communication regarding confidential matters. 
     

Nice to haves: 

  • Familiarity with applicant tracking systems and the organization of candidate data. 
  • Experience working in an innovation environment with exposure or familiarity with innovation methodologies and approaches.
