The Talent Leader is responsible for overseeing the full lifecycle of an employee from the talent management perspective including the development and implementation of strategies for talent acquisition, talent development, performance management, succession, and retention. This role will lead a team that plans, and designs programs and initiatives to help achieve the company’s strategy, goals and objectives. This function will design and develop best practices, frameworks, and tools for enterprise talent management and talent acquisition practices.

 

The ideal candidate will have the following experiences, listed in order of importance:

 

  • 10+ years of experience leading a talent management/learning and development/ acquisition, OD, or L&D function, including experience influencing senior leadership and critical stakeholders. Proven ability to lead by example; models leadership behavior.
  • 10+ years of experience applying Human Resource practices and processes that directly align with the specific responsibilities for this position.
  • Leading transformational change, managing stakeholders, achieving buy-in among disparate audiences, and delivering results in a variety of settings.
  • Leading strategic workforce planning by identifying critical roles, necessary skills/behaviors and updating the team on the talent marketplace. 
  • Engaging externally to understand new and evolving talent practices and integrates those that are aligned with a company’s culture and talent philosophy and will help achieve long term company success.
  • Enabling enterprise-wide talent-related decisions through various activities such as benchmarking, peer and best practice comparisons, research, dashboards and scorecards.
  • Developing shared, integrated systems and processes that support talent acquisition and talent management goals. 
  • Cultivating an environment where Diversity and Inclusion are leveraged to drive business value.
  • Developing, monitoring, measuring and maintaining multi-million-dollar, multi-year plans and budgets.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Insurance, Finance, Learning, or HR -or- equivalent work experience. Master’s degree and SPHR or SHRM-SCP preferred.
