Bank Systems Administrator Job Summary

The Bank Systems Administrator, operating under minimal supervison, is the subject matter expert for identity management technologies including developing, implementing and maintaining identity management processes and procedures across Westfield Bank’s IT environment. The Bank Systems Administrator is a hands-on technical expert responsible for implementing and/or modifying security access and identity changes for employees, contractors and/or other resources requiring access to Westfield Bank IT systems and/or data. The Bank Systems Administrator routinely works with business application owners, data owners, information security professionals and internal audit to ensure compliance with regulatory expectations regarding banking industry access standards and segregation of duties expectations. The Bank Systems Administrator works to maintain the security, confidentiality and integrity of Westfield Bank’s internal/external technology environment.

Essential Functions (primary functions and/or reasons the job exists in order of importance)

1. Provides subject matter expertise, training, technical assistance and support of identity management technology, processes and procedures.

2. Works with business application owners, data owners, information security professionals and internal audit to ensure compliance with regulatory expectations regarding banking industry systems access standards and segregation of duties expectations

3. Responsible for the support and evolution of Westfield Bank’s Identity and Access Management (IAM) processes, standards, guidelines, infrastructure and tools. This includes, but is not limited to, identity provisioning and governance, web application security, single sign on and identify federations, multi-factor authentication, privileged account and session management, and unstructured data management.

4. Provides systems security administration functions for banking applications (e.g. controlling/enhancing systems security, identifying/implementing initiatives to create operational efficiencies).

5. Develops access control modeling methodologies (e.g. RBAC, ABAC), authorization policy management, and risk-based methods of access lifecycle management for applications and data.

6. Works closely with Bank leadership, application owners and vendor partners to identify and implement system enhancements that improve the efficiency/effectiveness of banking systems.

7. Assists with the creation of bank systems disaster recovery and business continuity plans and participates in table top or practice drills.

8. Participates in or leads low to medium complexity projects that support current technology and implement new technologies in an effort to optimize or improve identity management functions

9. Maintains current IAM industry knowledge, stays abreast of industry trends and emerging technologies through industry events, networking, and research.

10. In the absence of the IT leader, manages vendor shared services provider work assignments

11. Works with asset owners, bank personnel and vendor partners to implement improvements to the Bank systems environment to include monitoring thresh-holds, security enhancements, patch level management review and identifying currency objectives.

12. May provides after hours/ weekend support on a required rotational basis.

13. Maintains awareness, understanding and compliance with the Bank’s internal policies and procedures, laws and regulations appropriate for this position.

14. Travels occasionally in order to participate in special assignments, training, and/or travel between office locations.

Desired Qualifications/Experience/Certification/Education (in order of importance)

1. 7 years experience in secure systems access control, information security, or systems administration

2. Systems security or administration certifications such as CISSP, CISA, CISM, CCNA, etc

3. Experience in Microsoft Active Directory administration and PowerShell scripting

4. Demonstrated skill with office automation tools including the Microsoft Suite of Tools.

5. Demonstrated excellent oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills resulting in the ability to effectively interact with all levels of management and employee population.

6. Ability to provide after hours/ weekend support on a required rotational basis.

7. Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or other related field or commensurate experience.

8. Valid driver’s license and a driving record that conforms to company standards.

* Ability to work effectively in an office environment for 40+ hours per week (including sitting, standing, and working on a computer for extended periods of time).

* Ability to communicate effectively in a collaborative work environment utilizing various technologies such as: telephone, computer, web, voice, teleconferencing, e-mail, etc.

* Ability to provide rotational on-call 24x7 support for off shift, weekends and holidays.

* Ability to install and relocate computer equipment, cabling, and peripherals.

* Ability to lift up to 30 pounds in a single occurrence.

* Ability to travel as required.
