Claims Intern
Employee Status: Seasonal
Schedule: Full-time
Location: Remote, or hybrid work at Westfield Center, OH
Salary: $21.00/hour
Responsibilities;
Join Westfield and experience our culture as an intern in our Claims department, where you'll have the chance to:
- Immerse yourself in the day-to-day activities of a claims professional, gaining hands-on experience and transferable skills.
- Collaborate with various departments within claims to understand the full scope of our operations.
- Assist in real-world investigations, evaluations, and settlements of insurance claims, making a tangible impact on our customers lives.
- Work alongside fellow interns on an exciting summer-long project, fostering teamwork and creativity.
- Enjoy enriching activities such as intern outings and networking opportunities.
- Interact with our enterprise leadership team, gaining insights and building valuable connections.
This internship offers a unique and comprehensive experience in the world of insurance claims, providing you with both practical skills and a chance to make a meaningful contribution to our customers' lives and businesses. The posting will be used to fill multiple opportunities in various areas of the claims department, including but not limited to: Property, Auto, Claims Compliance, and the Special Investigation Unit.

Qualifications:

Actively pursuing or within 1 year of receiving a secondary education degree with a related field of study.

Previous work experience.

Proven ability to collaborate and work with a team.

Demonstrated solid oral, written and interpersonal skills resulting in the ability to interact with all levels within the organization.

Demonstrated organization skills.

Demonstrated initiative and ability to work independently.

Valid driver’s license and a driving record that conforms to company standards.
- Physical essential functions: ability to work 40 hours in an office environment (sitting, standing, on a computer, etc.), operate office related technology (computer, phone, etc.), travel as required.
